What’s Happening This Week Keep an eye out for the great line up of events that we have on tap for the next couple of months! Please be mindful that RSVP's are required at least two days prior for all events unless otherwise noted so that we can plan refreshments and supplies accordingly. With the increased participation in all of our programs we will be strictly enforcing these dates. Please check out the full newsletter under the events tab for a complete list of activities and details.
Terrific Tuesday 9am-12pm Cost: $12/child (Members); $18/child (Guests) Calling all preschool aged children! Let us watch the kids while you run errands or just relax. Three fun hours of stories, games and crazy crafts await your child here at the Club! We will also visit the playground weather permitting. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. All children must be potty trained for this event.
Thursday, February 9th Sr. Valentine’s Luncheon 12-2pm Will you be our Valentine? This month we have a special treat for our great seniors. Come down for a light lunch provided by the Club. To reserve your spot, please bring your favorite sweet treat for dessert.
Friday, February 10th Daddy’s Little Sweetheart Dance 5:30-8:30pm Cost: $15/couple; $5/additional sibling Dad’s don’t miss out on this opportunity to spend a night out with your favorite sweetheart. We will be serving Chick-fil-A again this year and don’t miss out on the chocolate fountain!! The dance floor will be ready to go complete with music and fun games. This is a Semi-formal event so make sure to dress to impress!
Monday, February 13th Cupid Central 4-6pm Cost: $12/child (Members); $18/child (Guests) It’s almost Valentine’s Day so send your little ones to the Club to make valentines and do a fun lovey dovey craft! We’ll also be decorating cookies for a heart-filled snack!
Tuesday, February 14th Coffee Break 7:30-9:30am Come to the Club for breakfast! We’ll have bagels, muffins, pastries, the ever popular sausage biscuits, OJ, coffee and many more items to start your day off the right way! In case of inclement weather, the Club will follow the same closing schedule as Durham Public Schools.
Thursday, February 16th Leap Frog Frenzy 4:30-5:30pm Kids all ages Are welcome at the Club to celebrate the Leap Year with all sorts of leap frog crafts and activities. We will also be learning the purpose of Leap Year and it is all about!
Be on the Look-out for… · If you are looking for a babysitter or are interested in babysitting, feel free to let us know here at the Club! We have a running list here in the office of those interested in babysitting. Also, you can use this weekly email to advertise for a babysitter! Any questions? Contact us in the office!
· We’ve got movie tickets back in the office! If you’re looking for an easy gift for someone, think about discount movie tickets good for the Southpoint Cinemas! These tickets do not expire and are available in the office for $6.50 each.
· Experienced Math/Science tutor available for your high school or college student. Former high school math teacher and currently a physics grad student with five years tutoring experience and a BA in Math from UNC-CH. Classes I teach: Algebra II, AFM, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC, Calculus I/II/III, Differential Equations, and some additional college math, high school and college level chemistry/physical science, high school physics as well as college Physics I/II, Modern Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Mechanics. Also available for SAT and GRE prep: I scored perfectly on both math sections and >90% for verbal.
